“I think most unexpected, honestly, was the amount of group work. It can be a little intense, with both classes sometimes with heavy group work and navigating communication dynamics. For me, the groups have been some of the highest and lowest moments of my program so far. In my undergrad as an English major I had very little group work, most of my work came from essays and solitary research papers. However, I think the group projects have again opened my eyes to my skillsets and given me confidence to take more of a leadership role and to practice the management and leadership skills we have learned.”
